I rarely write reviews, but the LOOP GEAR SK05 Pro 2 truly deserves one.
It completely exceeded my expectations. It’s honestly hard to believe how much performance this compact, solid little flashlight delivers. Every time I pick it up, I’m reminded that this isn’t just another flashlight—it feels like a carefully engineered tool.
I chose the Nichia version because I wanted the best possible color rendering, and I don’t regret that decision. The light is incredibly pleasant to the eyes, producing beautiful, natural colors that make using the flashlight a joy.
However, after using it for about 21 days, I realized something about my own preferences. If I were buying it again today, I would probably choose the standard LED version for the SK05 Pro 2. Not because the Nichia version is inferior—it absolutely isn’t—but because the standard LEDs produce even more output while already delivering a beautiful neutral white beam. To my eyes, it has no distracting blue or green tint, despite what some flashlight enthusiasts might notice.
If I could choose again, I would keep the Nichia version for my SK03, where color accuracy is especially useful for close-range tasks, and choose the standard LED version for the SK05 Pro 2 to maximize brightness for outdoor use and larger areas.
This isn’t criticism of Loop Gear at all—it’s simply something I discovered about my own preferences after spending time with the flashlight.
The build quality is outstanding. The machining, the finish, the precision, and even the weight immediately give you confidence that you’re holding a premium product. Nothing feels cheap or like an afterthought. Every detail seems carefully considered.
Another thing I really appreciate is the user interface. Despite offering so many functions, it’s intuitive and enjoyable to use. That balance between versatility and simplicity is something many manufacturers struggle to achieve, but Loop Gear managed it remarkably well.
Yes, the flashlight gets hot on Turbo mode—but that’s simply physics. A flashlight that is smaller than my phone while producing this much power is naturally going to generate heat. To me, that’s not a flaw; it’s proof of what this little powerhouse is capable of.
One thing I’d also like to mention is that I spent a long time comparing different flashlights before making my purchase. I don’t buy products simply because they’re popular. I enjoy researching, comparing, and understanding what makes a product truly special.
The SK05 Pro 2 stood out because it isn’t just another flashlight with impressive specifications. It feels like a product designed by people who genuinely use flashlights themselves. Every feature has a purpose, and every design decision feels intentional.
But what impressed me just as much as the flashlight itself is the company behind it.
Nowadays, it’s becoming increasingly rare to find a manufacturer that genuinely listens to customer feedback and values customer satisfaction. That philosophy matters to me just as much as the product itself.
No matter how good a product may be, if the company behind it doesn’t care about its customers, I usually lose interest.
Fortunately, Loop Gear is the exact opposite.

That deserves recognition.
I believe a great product isn’t measured only by specifications on paper. It’s measured by how often you reach for it and how much confidence it gives you every time you use it.
The SK05 Pro 2 has become exactly that for me.
It’s the flashlight I instinctively grab because I know it won’t let me down.
