I’ve been putting the SK05 Pro 2 through real, regular use for a few weeks now, and it’s been genuinely impressive.
Build quality first: this thing feels properly engineered. The weight, the machining, the way the dial rotates with just the right amount of resistance — it feels like a tool, not a gadget. In the hand it’s compact but substantial, well balanced, and easy to operate with one hand even without looking at it.
The dual flood/spot output is where it really shines. Flood gives you a wide, even wash of light that’s great for close-range work, while spot throws a genuinely useful beam for distance. Having both in one body, switchable instantly, has made it my go-to for pretty much everything.
Battery life has honestly surprised me. I used it for several hours a night, multiple nights in a row, before it needed a recharge — for a light this size, that’s excellent. The graceful way it manages power as the battery runs low (stepping down output rather than just cutting out) is a nice touch that shows real thought went into the driver design.
