100% convincing. thanx for that great engineering..
As a former service member, I have been fascinated by the number of "tactical" flashlights on the market. If you are a LEO or an Active-Duty Military personnel member I can see the need for this type of flashlight. Even I can see some use cases for people who live more of a prepper lifestyle. The majority of us have 3 simple needs when it comes to a flashlight. 1. Battery life 2. Reliability 3. Features. I am sure there are other things people can claim to need but I said the majority and I am prepared for the "hate" heh. With that being said the Loop Gear SK-05 has by far exceeded my expectations in these 3 key categories. I will say up front I paid for this light myself. I did not get ANY discounts or offers. I went directly to the site to buy it because I wanted the Nichia driver and that was not available from Amazon. So far, the light has performed as promised. Great battery life, Reliable as hell and Awesome features. I even posted other reviews without them knowing on a site I contribute to. I will offer a few caveats which I am sure have become known. The button seems like it was an afterthought to some extent. I mean it works but the build quality and tolerances of this light seem out of place compared to the power button. It has not failed on me so it could just be my high expectations. The other thing I could pick on it about was that it took almost 15 days to get to me, but that is my issue and not Thiers. All in all, one of the best flashlights I have ever used, and I own 32 lights. Yes, I have a problem. The funny thing is when I take out the light people notice it. I am getting antsy when someone wants to hold it as I am worried, they will take......my precious. Anyway, thank you Loop Gear I am very impressed with this light.
Easily the best torch I ever bought. The light output is immense and the size is compact and practical. The sidelight, magnets, replaceable batteries and powerbank feature are immensely useful. I whole heartedly recommend.
This is a fun & interesting light. The LED running down the side is a nice touch to an already cool light.
Like the title says, this light sets out to do it all, and to my delighted surprise, it does it all pretty well! It's easily pocketable if you're used to 18650-sized lights, not really any extra bulk on this thing. Throw side is great, using an SFT-25r was a good choice. I think the floody side could be a little floodier, but it appears to be a Carclo 3-up optic, so could likely be changed in the future. Side light isn't particularly bright, but has so many modes, it's just fun to mess around with. I've heard some folks have had issues with the switch being mushy, but my example clicked nicely enough. Critically, UI is what you'd expect: click for off, double click for turbo, etc. And as a bonus, it saves each level/setting individually per mode.
